「常に創造的な仕事をする」
与えられた仕事を生涯の仕事として一生懸命行うことは大切ですが、ただそれだけでよいということではありません。一生懸命取り組みながらも、常にこれでいいのか、ということを毎日毎日考え、反省し、そして改善、改良していくことが大切です。決して昨日と同じことを漫然と繰り返していてはいけません。
毎日の仕事の中で、「これでいいのか」ということを常に考え、同時に「なぜ」という疑問をもち、昨日よりは今日、今日よりは明日と、与えられた仕事に対し、改善、改良を考え続けることが創造的な仕事へとつながっていきます。こうしたことの繰り返しによってすばらしい進歩が遂げられるのです。
While it’s important to devote your life to your chosen profession, you should not be content just doing your job. You must ask yourself daily if you are doing your best, and take actions to improve and innovate. You shouldn’t just aimlessly repeat what you did yesterday.
You need to constantly ask: “Is this the right thing to do?” or “why?” in performing your day-to-day work. You must continuously think about how to improve your work. This will lead to constant innovation. Superb progress is achieved by such repetition.

12. Always Be Cheerful and Positive.
Hold Great Dreams and Hopes
in the Pureness of Your Heart
It is my belief that business managers
and leaders must always be cheerful
and positive no matter how adverse
the circumstances they face.
Business managers and leaders
often face one difficult problem
after another. The more challenging
the circumstances, the more important
it is to stay hopeful and optimistic
in order to successfully cope with
challenges and achieve positive results.
Leaders are called to display
a tremendous fighting spirit and
possess strong willpower and
determination in order to face down adversity.
This is why it is important for leaders to
be cheerful and positive every day.
Otherwise, they will not be able to
endure the difficulties of business
management over a long period of time.
While on the one hand, you must have
the unyielding determination to do
whatever it takes to achieve your goal;
on the other hand, you must also believe
that no matter what happens
there is a bright future waiting for you,
and thus live your life cheerfully and positively.
No matter what adversities you may
be facing right now, look at your life
in a positive light. That is the cardinal
rule of life and the crux of living as a manager.

6.感性的な悩みをしない
人生では、誰でも失敗を
しますし、間違いを起こします。
しかし、そうした過失を
繰り返しながら人は
成長していくのですから、
失敗をしても悔やみ
続ける必要はありません。
「覆水盆に返らず」という
言葉がありますように、
一度こぼれた水は元に
戻りません。
起こってしまったことを、
いつまでも思い
悩んでいても何の役にも
立ちません。
それどころか心の病の
もとになり、
人生を不幸なものに
してしまいます。
自分のどこが悪かった
のかは反省しなければ
なりませんが、
十分に反省した後は、
くよくよせずに新しい道を
歩み始めることが大切です。
済んだことに対して、
いつまでも悩み、
心労を重ねるのではなく、
理性で考え、
新たな行動に移るべきです。
そうすることが、
すばらしい人生を
切り拓いていくのです。

6. Don’t Dwell on the Past
Everybody faces failure
and makes mistakes in life.
This is how we grow.
The important thing is to
reflect upon your failures
so you can avoid repeating them.
However, there is
no need to prolong your remorse.
Emotional distress can
bring about mental
and physical illness.
Having once reflected
deeply upon your actions,
you should move on
to new challenges
with swiftness and determination.
